MUSS Rewards is an athletics loyalty program that rewards students for attending Utah Athletics and campus events.

Points can be earned by attending regular season, non-football sporting events on campus. Earning MUSS Rewards points improves your chances of being selected to purchase MUSS+ football tickets in the point-based lottery system. The more points you earn, the better your chances of being selected for a ticket!

Earning MUSS Rewards

MUSS Rewards are run via the Utah 360 app.

How to earn MUSS Rewards

  1. Attend Events

    MUSS Rewards are earned by going to specific regular-season athletics events and campus events. You must attend the event to earn MUSS Rewards.

  2. Scan QR Code

    At each event, you will need to scan a QR code located near the student section at each venue. Each event attended and scanned into will be worth 500 MUSS Rewards points.

  3. Watch for Bonus Opportunities

    Additional opportunities for attending other campus events and completing certain tasks will be announced on MUSS social media accounts and in the MUSS Read newsletter.

  4. Boost Your Chances

    For every 2,000 MUSS Rewards points earned, you will receive an extra entry for the annual Football Lottery draw each spring.

Why You Should Get MUSS Rewards

By attending sporting events besides football, you will collect MUSS Rewards points. As these points collect, you will receive extra tickets for the annual football lottery each spring. Each event attended and scanned into will be worth 500 points. For every 2,000 points earned, you will receive an extra entry for the Football Lottery System.

How to find the MUSS Leaderboard

  1. Click on the 3 Pancakes

    In the top left corner of the Utah 360 App

  2. Tap on Student Groups

    Under the “Groups” section

  3. Tap on The MUSS

    You may need to join the group for it to appear under “Student Groups”

  4. Tap on MUSS Leaderboard

    Scroll/swipe the tab bar that starts with “Dashboard”

  5. Scroll to Find Your Name!

Important to Know

    • MUSS Rewards are open to all current matriculated University of Utah students.
    • MUSS Rewards are only issued for home games, on-campus events, and designated engagement opportunities and initiatives.
    • MUSS Rewards-earning opportunities are determined on a case-by-case basis. Menu coming soon. Check back closer to game day for updates.
    • If two MUSS Rewards-earning events are starting concurrently, you will only be eligible to earn rewards for one event (whichever event you attend first).
    • The MUSS Board reserves the right to determine the time period for which credits can be earned throughout an event, as it is the expectation that you are attending events for a substantial period of time.
    • MUSS Rewards are not transferable and cannot be resold.
    • MUSS Rewards points expire at the end of the school year and reset back to zero for the next school year.
    • The MUSS Board is responsible for determining what events earn MUSS Rewards and the amount associated with each event.
    • University administrators have the right to adjust your credits if the aforementioned policies are not followed.

MUSS Rewards Appeals

If you believe you should have received MUSS Rewards for an event, you may appeal your point totals.

  • Appeals must be made within (5) days of the event.
  • Appeals must be emailed to The MUSS at themuss@alumni.utah.edu.

When submitting an appeal, provide proof of your attendance. Proof of attendance may include a clear photo of yourself at the game with an identifying feature from the venue that is clearly visible (ex: scoreboard, opposing team, Snapchat filter, etc.).

What to Expect When You Submit an Appeal

The MUSS staff reviews and evaluates all appeals within 10 business days. Appeal outcomes will be communicated to the requester.

  • Approved: If your appeal is approved, you will receive the points in your MUSS Rewards account.
  • Denied: If your appeal is denied, you will receive notification. No further action is required, and the points WILL NOT be applied to your account.
