Tailgates
Before each home football game and select games for non-football sports, all current U students are invited to come to tailgate with The MUSS.
MUSS tailgates include hearty food, drinks (non-alcoholic), and plenty of fun and Utah pride. Get ready to cheer on Utah with music, games, and prizes!
Football Tailgate Location
MUSS Football tailgates are hosted at the Eccles Football Center, located between the Eccles Field House (practice facility) and Eccles Tennis Center on Guardsman Way.
The Ute Walk is held two and a half hours before every home game on 500 South.
Food
Red Robin is the official caterer for MUSS football tailgates. The menu usually includes fresh burgers, hot fries, and tasty chicken strips.* Vegetarian options are available; just ask the Red Robin staff and they’ll help you!

Prizes and Contests
Each week at the football tailgate, students can win a variety of prizes, swag, and unique experiences. A few of the prizes that are available are:
- Front-row seats in The MUSS
- Sideline passes
- Red Robin gift cards
Before each home game, there are also social media contests for prizes and fun experiences. Make sure to follow us on social and check back regularly for your chance to win. Contests and prizes include:
- Score pick-em
- Students of the game
- Opportunity to run the MUSS flags onto the field and lead the football team out
Olympic Sports
During the year, MUSS members are also invited to a variety of pregame events before many of the Olympic Sports events. In the past, we’ve had food trucks, DJs, dodgeball, silent disco, shirt giveaways, etc. Keep an eye on the MUSS Instagram to stay informed about these events. Make sure to show up early!
